BaggageHelp Insider Booking Tips: Storage Grace Period, Bundle & Save, and Get Free Delivery
When you’re ready to book your storage on BaggageHelp, a little bit of strategy goes a long way. Our platform is designed for speed, but by keeping a few simple rules in mind while you select your drop-off and pickup times, you can unlock significant savings. From hitting the 'magic number' for free delivery to bundling smaller items into a single charge, here is how to navigate your booking like a pro and keep more money in your pocket for your Chicago adventure.
Booking TIP #1: The “Same Day” Grace Period
Maximize your savings! While our standard storage rate is $10 per bag, per day, you can save by booking on a 24-hour basis.
- How it works: If you drop off your bags and select a return time within a 24-hour window (for example, checking out at 1:00 p.m. the following day), you are only charged for one day.
- The Bonus: We allow you to pick up your bags even after that 24-hour mark has passed, provided the pickup occurs within the same calendar day and during our standard walk-in hours (8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).
Note: This grace period does not apply to after-hour pickups (6:01 p.m. – 8:29 a.m.), which still require the $25 flat fee.
Booking TIP #2: The “Bundle & Save” Rule
Have multiple small items? Don't pay for each individual piece!
- How it works: If you have several small bags (like tote bags, shopping bags, or small backpacks) that can securely fit inside one of our standard 50lb large bag, we will count and charge the entire bundle as just 1 bag.
- The Benefit: This is perfect for families or travelers who picked up a few extra souvenirs and want to keep their storage costs down.
Booking TIP #3: FREE Pickup or Delivery
Save on transportation! Orders over $99 qualify for a special bonus
- How it works: If your total order is $99+, BaggageHelp will provide an automatic free delivery or luggage pickup from O’Hare Airport.
- The Benefit: This applies for up to 4 pieces of luggage, helping you save even more on transportation costs.
